So, I gave into the urge to start something new, before(again) finishing something! I Made a trip into Joann's Fabric to use my 50% coupons to get some 28 ct mushroom evenweave...plus one DMC color (680) I couldn't believe I didn't have! I am the woman who cleaned out 3 Walmarts within a 40 mile radius when it was being clearanced out at .10 cents each last summer! Isn't this always the case though? LOL I got to use one of my 50% off coupons on the newest Just Cross Stitch too, so that was worth the trip! And it looks to be a good issue and I know I will stitch a few things from it, but I have to show you this nice design in it that I am itchin' to start too, it's called The Scroll Pillow and it calls for a single shade of Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk floss, but I can't afford the "nice" floss right now, so will settle for a nice shade of DMC.
So I also kitted up Plum Street Samplers "Morning Bird", that is why I needed the evenweave above! Wanted to make at least a few stitches on it tonight, but I got all involved with trying to make my blog look better! I am new at the Blog thing and learning as I go!
Oh, Enabler alert! After browsing Paulette's Blog(PSS Designs), she posted a picture of a quaker finish her mom stitched up for her, and had forgotten that I had that chart, it is a Monasterium Design called Willie's Quaker Square #7, and was featured in TGOS June 2008 Issue! So, of course I couldn't resist a quaker, especially one I had here at hand, and I forgot! LOL
Me forgetting....reminds me(LOL) of a cute email Jan B sent me today about our "Forgetter" is broken! If I remember(oh this is bad puns) LOL I will post the cute little poem for you all to see and enjoy!
Ok off to bed for me, again I find myself staying up too late, no wonder I need naps all the time! LOL
Pics are of Morning Bird kitted up, Willie's Quaker kitted up, and the Just Cross stitch design.
I think you are off to a great start with your blog!

Hi Pauline, nice to put a face to the name. Loving your blog and the things you're stitching.
ReplyDeleteHi Pauline, I love you blog and will add it to my blog list. I would love for you to come visit mine, too! Just click on my name and voila!! Great stitching, too!!
ReplyDeleteHi Pauline,
ReplyDeleteI add my pictures differently than alot of people. I have my pictures on Picturetrail (or Photobucket or any of those hosting sites would do), and I get the URL that I need and when I'm typing my blog, instead of going to the part where it shows to add a picture, I just paste the URL from my hosting site. Does that make sense? Then I can type whatever I want before and after the pictures. If that doesn't make sense, let me know and I'll try to explain it better.
Ohhhh congratulations on your grandbabies, too!! I have to agree with you that there is nothing like being a Nana (LaLa in my case!). I haven't gotten to hold Mr. Carter man yet since he was in the NICU, but we are going up weekend after next, and I intend to stock up on all the sugar I can bring home with me. :) They live six hours from us, so I don't get to see them NEAR enough.
Thank you for visiting, and please come again. Really, if you need more help on the picture thingee, let me know and we'll get it worked out for you. :)
Hugs,
Carolyn
