Alot has happened

I don't even know where to start, it's been so long since I posted! Well I should start on a happy Note, I am a Nana....again! This time to a baby girl, born February 16th, weighing 7lbs 6 oz, 20 1/2 inches long, just BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Her name is Baylie Joline( the line in her middle name is supposed to be from my first name). She is a happy baby and my daughter is so much more relaxed with this second baby, but she is so very busy and overwhelmed at times with a new baby and an almost 2 yr old, my grandson Ricki, who now has to learn to share mommy & daddy with baby sister. Ricki is getting better about it though which is good! It's funny, I have 3 daughters and from the time I brought home the middle daughter when my eldest(the mommy above) was just 13 months old, and she was my little mommy, always wanting to be a part of what I was doing with the new baby then, and then 3 years later when I had my youngest daughter, my eldest was a pro little mommy! LOL But I see now that boys, well at least my grandson, could care less when Baylie cries or fusses, he just continues playing, paying no mind to the extra "noise" in the house! And one good thing is that from the time they brought Baylie home, she has never known "quiet", and probably even sensed that while still in the womb! LOL Boys are so much louder, rougher and animated that my girls ever were! And now that he is talking more and more, though hasn't really formed true sentences yet, his favorite words are "dyno", "batman" and "spider man". He is so entertaining!!!
Here is Baylie when she came home, 3 days old!
3 days old
And of course my adorable grandson Ricki!
smiley
Well, I am off to Hopefully get a good nights sleep for a change! I will try to post more about whats going on with me and my chronic pain and fibromyalgia meds! I have a doctors appt today(omg its 1:45 am right now!
Happy stitching everyone!

Thank you Mary!

I feel so bad for not posting this earlier, but like I mentioned in my previous post, its been a busy time! No baby yet, she is now 3 days late, and when my dd went to her last appt on Monday, the doctor told her is she hadnt had the baby by the 18th(her next appt) then he would induce her. If I remember right, that is what he told her for the first one, but she went into labor the day before inducement date! I told her that Bailey(my dgd name)can hear her big brother play wildly and is afraid to come out! LOL I will keep you posted as I am taking the phone to bed with me now at my dd's request!
So I wanted to share with everyone the cutest little gift I received from my stitchy friend Mary. She is so talented in her stitching, I hope to be able to make one of these one day! It was such a surprize to get mail with goodies in it! So I am sharing a pic of this adorable scissor fob Mary made for me! Thank you Mary! xoxoxox

Long time no blog!

Well, I am not posting as much as I'd like too and now have some catching up to do!
I was blessed with a surprize visit by my very pregnant daughter and my 21 month old grandson last week. Her hubby has been very protective about keeping her close by as I live about an hours drive from them, but with strict rules to call him the minute she shows any signs of labor, and he was ok to leave them here for 3 days! Yay! Now that my eldest has married and now almost a mommy of 2 of the most beautiful grandbabies ever! LOL I am a lil' bias! We now get along so well, compared to her teenage years of H E double hockeysticks! HA! And even better is that I have finally hooked her on cross stitching so we have that love to share as well, and she always tells her hubby...."I need to go stitchy shopping at Mom's house" LOL She likes most of the charts I do, so it works out! And when I tell her there is now way I could ever stitch everything I have....her reply is..."Thats ok Mom, I will get it when you're gone" LOL Hello...am I going someplace! Hehehehe She was joking of course....this is the daughter who fought me every minute of the day for 17 years! And now she calls me 2-5 times a day! Sometimes just to tell me something funny my DGS did or even sometimes the gross things he does! I laugh and tell her its only going to get worse now with the second one almost here, My DGD is one day late now, due date was the 10th of Febuary, but then she was a week late with her first! I think shes staying where its safe from her wild big brother! LOL
So I have had 4 more finishes since my last post, though they are smaller finishes, they still count! LOL
This first one is #4 finish of 2009 and is by Midnight Stitching called Faith Hope Love-stitched on 25ct over 2 with sampler threads called for. This chart, fabby & thread was a Secret Sister Gift this last round! I just Love it!
#4 MS-Faith Hope Love
My # 5 finish is a freebie called Love Letters you can find Here

#5 I Love You freebie 2/6/2009

My # 6 finish is also a freebie by Erica Michael, but cannot for the life of me find it again! LOL
#6 Tic Tac Heart Freebie-2/7/2009

And ta da, my # 7 finish is also a freebie called French Inspired Hearts you can find
Here
and there a few more freebies listed there too!
#7 Freebie Heart 2/6/2009
This last finish was my very fist time using Vikki Clayton silks-color is Old Blue Eyes, and it was such a treat to stitch with. My previous hatred of silk in general is now gone, because this silk slides so easilly and rarely tangles, made stitching this so fun and quick, and I totally love the results of the color variations! Looks like I just might have found a new thread to use! LOL Like I needed it! Hehehehe
Well now that I have caught up on sharing my finishes, I am off to make more to share! How fun is this? Until next time, hugs and stitches to you!

A finish & a start!!

Last night was a good night as I finally finished up PSS Morning Bird
#3 PSS Morning Bird 1/26/2009
This is my #3 finish for 2009! Wow even I am impressed with myself! But then I don't have much of a life, so I stitch with all my free time! And of course as much as I can when my pain is under control for the time! I stitched this PSS design over 2 threads on 28ct mushroom colored evenweave, with DMC floss! I can't wait to get this framed and up for everyone to see, I really should start framing my finishes, if I did I could probably fill a couple of walls! Yeah, its been awhile since I framed , I just keep adding the finishes to my very full tub I have just for them!
I had enough fabby left over from Morning Bird, so I started Midnight Stitching Quaker Faith Hope Love design
MS Quaker Faith Hope Love-1/26/2009
I received this chart, fabby and Sampler Threads from my secret sister Donna)thank you again!) I hope she sees my blog so she can see my stitching!
I also wanted to share a few pictures of my kitties, as they lounge and nap, only to be disturbed by me trying to snap a picture of them! LOL I want to come back as a cat in my next life! I think I already have the napping part down! :)
Here is Jinx, she was actually sleeping in the "cat bed" , go figure! LOL
Jinx-trying to nap!
And here is Peek-a-Boo, I bothered him while lounging in "My" bed?? Or is it his bed? LOL
Peek-a-Boo-napping
And last but not least, is Samantha, who unless she opens her eyes, she is just a blob of black! The picture makes her look like an alien cat! Wonder what happened while I wasn't here? LOL
Samantha-alien eyes? lol
Ok, well I am off to stitch a bit more before bed, and I may just have another finish to show off tomorrow, as this quaker is stitching up quickly!

Oh So Close.......

Yay! I finally stopped and took a pic of my PSS Morning Bird progress! This pic is from last night, and I am oh so close to being done! I have'nt stitched on it today as of yet, so maybe if I can get my act together today with my errands and such, I will be able to finish this up and have another finish for 2009!!
PSS Morning Bird 1/22/09
I just added a Sales/Trade album link here on my blog, so if you are looking for something to stitch have a look! I am trying to collect 123 GC to buy hand dyed floss for a couple of LHN&CCN charts I have!!
So off to start another week. I have a doctors appt tomorrow and will hopefully then have a new doctor to take over my pain management! The in between visits to non supporting docs who dont take my insurance and a trip to the ER are not fun, and I just want to be back on a regular pain management schedule, and not run out of medicines!!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend, it is actually sunny here today, though still chilly. The sunshine goes a long way to lift peoples spirits and makes happier people!! Ok so I am off to get stuff done around here so I can sit and stitch this evening and hopefully will have a finish to show you tomorrow!!

My Morning Bird Progress

Well, its been 2 days since I last posted a wip of PSS Morning Bird, and now that I am feeling better, I have made lots of progress on it and I finally made it down to the trees part! I am so enjoying this, and it really is hard to put down, like a good book, up til the wee hours of the morning, losing track of time!

PSS Morning Bird 1/20/09

I am looking forward to Friday, when I can either post to the Friday "Wip's" or "finishes" thread at 123 Stitch

If you have never been to this MB or cross stitch site, you really should check it out! I have met the nicest people there and made some really good friendships too! Maybe I will see you over there!

Well I am off to stitch a bit more, though not sure how long I can stay awake tonight as I didn't get a nap today!

Happy Stitching!

Help,Blog name change!?

Well, I guess when I first set up this blog, I tried to pick a name quickly and with hardly any thought! So I have changed it for the 3rd time, and really not sure I like this one either! LOL So Please leave a comment on this post, with any ideas you might have to make it a little more "catchy" or "cute". And I may just be changing it again soon if I see something that just clicks with me!
Thanks!

PSS Morning Bird Started

Well here I am posting late Sunday night, cause this is the first time I have been on the computer all weekend! I have felt icky for the past 3-4 days, and mostly slept or when I did try to stitch I sometimes found myself falling asleep! Have you ever tried stitching and falling asleep at the same time? LOL Its hilarious where you find your stitches! hahaha

So I started stitching on Plum Street Samplers, "Morning Bird" late Friday and with my limited stitching time, I am not as far along as I would have liked! But I am having fun stitching this, I so love the vibrant "Fall" type colors and they really look good on the mushroom evenweave too!
PSS Morning Bird
So I am hoping I get more stitched in the next few days! I am so loving the border, but really itching to get down to the trees!! I hope Paulette gets to see my progress on this! She was my "Enabler"! Thanks Paulette!
Ok, I am off to get a bit more stitiching in while I feel well enough, then off to bed. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

YAY! My Finish for Friday!

Well, finally I have a new finish to post! This is my #2 finish for 2009!! It seemed to take me longer to stitch this design, and it was an easy stitch up too! I am either suffering from Flu type symptoms or I am having a bad pain week! But at least I stayed on top of this design before moving onto a new one, which was a little hard to do, as I have Plum Street Samplers chart Morning Bird all kitted up, so that is what I am starting next, even though I have more than a few wip's still waiting for my attention! So here is my "Ta Da" for this week, and I will try to post more often from now on, but I spent a lot of time primping my Blog, its still not exactly the way I want it, but at least I was able to set up a new template(with the help of really nice 123 board members,TY)!

Off to stitch now, happy weekend to everyone! :)

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

Hi, my name is Pauline and I'm a XS addict!

So, I gave into the urge to start something new, before(again) finishing something! I Made a trip into Joann's Fabric to use my 50% coupons to get some 28 ct mushroom evenweave...plus one DMC color (680) I couldn't believe I didn't have! I am the woman who cleaned out 3 Walmarts within a 40 mile radius when it was being clearanced out at .10 cents each last summer! Isn't this always the case though? LOL I got to use one of my 50% off coupons on the newest Just Cross Stitch too, so that was worth the trip! And it looks to be a good issue and I know I will stitch a few things from it, but I have to show you this nice design in it that I am itchin' to start too, it's called The Scroll Pillow and it calls for a single shade of Crescent Colours Belle Soie silk floss, but I can't afford the "nice" floss right now, so will settle for a nice shade of DMC.

So I also kitted up Plum Street Samplers "Morning Bird", that is why I needed the evenweave above! Wanted to make at least a few stitches on it tonight, but I got all involved with trying to make my blog look better! I am new at the Blog thing and learning as I go!

Oh, Enabler alert! After browsing Paulette's Blog(PSS Designs), she posted a picture of a quaker finish her mom stitched up for her, and had forgotten that I had that chart, it is a Monasterium Design called Willie's Quaker Square #7, and was featured in TGOS June 2008 Issue! So, of course I couldn't resist a quaker, especially one I had here at hand, and I forgot! LOL

Me forgetting....reminds me(LOL) of a cute email Jan B sent me today about our "Forgetter" is broken! If I remember(oh this is bad puns) LOL I will post the cute little poem for you all to see and enjoy!

Ok off to bed for me, again I find myself staying up too late, no wonder I need naps all the time! LOL

Pics are of Morning Bird kitted up, Willie's Quaker kitted up, and the Just Cross stitch design.

My Thrift Store Score!

I have to share my great thrift store find with you, after trying to find items with the red tags only(thats the 1/2 price color today)can you believe I only found one item that had a red tag?? Does anyone else ever notice this? It seems that trolls come in the night before and removes most of the red tag items, because of course everything you like and want to buy is every other color but RED! LOL

But I did luck out, I was looking for wicker baskets and found 2 really cute ones for the bathroom(for all of daughters "stuff") and found this cute picnic type basket, both flaps on top work great and in good shape and there is also a sturdy handle, with a straw type bow. And guess what? Not only did it NOT have a red tag.....but no price at all(kewl, its free!) So on up to the register to find out how much, figuring I will be saying "no thanks" and my deal of the Day........ Ta Da $1.99 Pretty cool huh? Well....it gets better! (Its my lucky day!) Whipping out my Goodwill card, which has dust bunnys on it from I can't remember when I used it last! And Ta Da again...I get a $10.00 credit for my points accrued! Well, in all the time I was in there, I was already feeling the pain of being on my feet and bending when I shouldn't be doing too much of that, and I just wanted to get going so I could get home for a nap! I asked the clerk how long the credit was good for, a whole 30 days, and remembering the dust bunnys on my goodwill shopping card, it was either hope I get back this way to be able to spend it or if I forgot(nah not me) I'd lose it! So.......off to the women's clothing....where I found 2 nice cotton blouses(not red tags!) and a nice pair of capris......YES! A red tag at last! LOL

Big progress on Cantata

Well, I have made great progress on WBTW Cantata, since getting the threadworx thread from Eileen, Thanks so much! This is my first time using this thread and I have to say it is a joy to stitch with, and the colors are so rich and bold! This might be the reason I am loving stitching this! And now I am almost done, hoping to be done by the weekend, maybe sooner.........unless you know! I start something new before that! LOL Well, you will have to check back to see what happens.... :)

New Year 2009 Bitten off more than I can chew???

Well, a new year arrives,2009, and I have found myself committing to SAL's, when I have a pile full of WIP's! LOL I know I am not the only one who does this! So much for my half meant new years resolution that I was going to finish up a few Wips's before I started something new! And I did good right off the bat! I did finally finish WBTW Scherzo before I started WBTW Cantata! And now I am not quite at the halfway mark on Cantata, and I am itching to start Beatrix Potter Sal! Someone please help me! LOL Here I will share my first finish for 2009-Scherzo and then I am off to stitch more on Cantata before I think too much on Beatrix Potter for now! :)
